Cadbury's is a long standing client and we have worked with them on a variety of refurbishment projects in office and manufacturing areas.  Our remit for remodelling the Cadbury World entrance was to provide a stimulating contemporary entrance and maximise the available space for visitors.

The practice designed the new sports facility for the King Edward VI Handsworth School.  The building provides a naturally lit and ventilated sports hall, with associated changing and spectator facilities, a first floor Dance Studio and secondary spectator facilities.

The building was conceived with the idea of constructing a school beyond its walls, acknowledging the idea that the built environment of a school has a significant and far reaching impact on the academic achievement of its students. 

A new surgery was designed for Dr A Vora on the site of two detached dwellings, one being used as a surgery and the other vacant.

The new building was carefully designed to be built in two construction phases, so that the practice could continue operating during the first phase and then move into the new premises whilst the existing surgery was demolished.

The ground floor consists of 7 Consulting Rooms and a Treatment Room together with ancillary and supporting accommodation.

Part of the first floor is being used by South Docs Services Ltd as their administration base.

The build cost was carefully controlled at £1,000,000

An existing warehouse adjacent to Bayliss' existing showroom was converted to provide a new 465 sq.m. showroom to exhibit various styles of bathrooms and sanitary ware.

The work involved taking off the existing timber barrelled roof and inserting a new part steel portal frame and metal roof and side cladding and also incorporated a mezzanine floor.  New customer toilets were provided together with facilities for the disabled and a customer consultation area.

The work was completed in May 2011
